Karan Burman
Brings nearly two decades of experience across legal practice, capital markets, and portfolio management. His exposure to India’s equity markets began in 2006, shaping a long-standing focus on corporate finance, governance, and investing.
Since 2010, he has practised as a qualified lawyer specialising in financial crime, regulatory compliance, company law, and insolvency (NCLT), providing deep analytical insight into corporate structures, financial risk, and governance.
Since 2016, he has actively managed private capital within India’s small- and mid-cap markets, with an approach rooted in primary research, company-level financial analysis, governance diligence, and continuous portfolio monitoring.
His investment focus centres on early participation in next-generation Indian growth sectors including cybersecurity, defence manufacturing, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, healthcare innovation, and small-cap technology.
Based in Bangkok, he leads the fund’s India-focused small-cap strategy, combining legal-regulatory expertise with hands-on investing experience across market cycles.

Alvin Joyekurun
A seasoned financial and investment advisor with 20+ years of expertise in global financial markets.
Launching his career at Deloitte Consulting (2005) and AON Hewitt (2008) in London, he specialized in investment strategy for institutional investors.
Returning to Mauritius in 2009, he led transformative initiatives in asset management & insurance with industry leaders like MCB Group, SWAN Group, and Amicorp Group.
A first-class Actuarial Science graduate (Cass Business School, UK, 2005), CFA charter holder (2010), and UK-qualified investment actuary (FIA, 2012),
Alvin combines independent insight with a holistic approach to solve complex financial challenges.

Irfaan Hossany
Managing Director of KFS (Mauritius) Ltd and has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry across Mauritius and Bermuda, working with private equity and hedge funds.
Before joining KFS, he served for eight years as Regional CEO at Equinoxe Alternative Investment Services (now Apex Group).
Prior to that, he held roles at JP Morgan Private Equity, Schroders, and PwC. He began his career with KPMG Mauritius, where he earned his ACCA qualification.
HE also serves as an independent director on several boards, including Collective Investment Schemes (CIS), closed-end funds, CIS Managers, and investment advisors.

Brings over 14 years of experience in fund administration and financial services, with expertise across accounting, fund operations, and derivatives strategies.
He has held roles at leading firms including IFS (Sanne Group), Cim Global (IQEQ), Equinoxe (Apex), and Sanlam Trustees, and currently serves as Group Manager at KFS (Mauritius) Ltd.
